Prior to starting his consulting practice Bob worked as a venture capitalist from 1996 to 2009,  investing in early to later stage therapeutic, medical device and diagnostic companies in North America and Europe. He is presently assisting technology companies in the areas of corporate strategy, fundraising as well as business development.

Alan Duncan, is currently the Dean at the School of Business at UPEI. He came to this position after 25 years of international experience in the financial services and investment industry. A Chartered Accountant, he is a keen supporter of entrepreneurship and the use of capital to promote prosperity.

Ruth Grady is president of Northern Abrasives Inc., an Atlantic Canadian company specializing in coated abrasive products for retail, building supply and do-it-yourself markets in North America. Starting with one customer Princess Auto she has grown her customer base to include multinational clients in Canada and the United States.

Mike Ives, practiced law for 6 years in Charlottetown leaving in 1998 to work with Unisys Canada and later LexisNexis Canada in the area of legal and justice technology. In 2006, he started Shared Solutions Inc. bringing his team from LexisNexis with him to develop NetLegal, a platform that allow lawyers to share documents and access court information.

In addition to planning to launch a new social note sharing tool shortly on the iPad and new legal research tool for lawyers, Shared Solutions is currently working on a new text mining platform that will utilize natural language processing shorten reading time and automatically relate and summarize documents.

Brian Lowe is co-founder and a director of the First Angel Network Association, Atlantic Canada’s largest association for private investors. As an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with over 30 years experience, he has been involved in a number of start-up companies throughout his career. Mr. Lowe raised millions of dollars for these companies.
